Rabyně

The village lies close to the Slap Dam approximately 22 km from the district of Benesov. It consists of local parts of Rabyna, Loutí, Stromeč, Nedvězí, Blaženice and Měřín.

Northwest of Rabyně there is a distinctive forested ostrožna, which runs from the hill of Sřeblov to the northeast direction. From the northwest falls an almost perpendicular rock wall into the Vltava valley. From the north and east a similar precipice falls into the valley of the Třeblová brook, which flows to the Vltava River northwest of the estuary. The only accessible side is from the southwest, where two fortification lines cross it. If both lines are present, it is not certain, as is the time of the fortification. The surrounding area also offers many opportunities for excursions to discover our history, such as the castle Karlštejn, Dobříš or Konopiště, Slapy.
